UAI is seeking a full-time interior designer to work in collaboration with our in-house Interior Designer.  The ideal candidate is eager to contribute in a meaningful way to the firm's large-scale projects and in turn grow in their interior design career. Responsibilities vary from day to day and may include the following tasks: 

• Assisting the Lead Interior Designer with Finishes, Furniture, Fixtures & Accessories research 
• Assembling Material Board/Packages 
• Creating Digital Presentations w/ Interior Renderings 
• Communicating with vendors to obtain additional information on products 
• Picking up and returning samples to showrooms and galleries 
• Maintaining organization of sample library  

Position requirements:

• Graphic design experience, proficiency with Adobe programs, Microsoft Office Suite, etc,
• Willingness to learn new tasks
• Attend site visits, installations as needed
• Ability to assist in all aspects of the design specification process (sourcing, quoting, creating proposals, executing orders, and follow up)
• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field
• Interior Design Experience: 2 – 5 years (Preferred)
• Revit: 1- 2 years (Preferred)
• Enscape/Lumion: 1 year 

Must be authorized to work in the United States. This position requires work primarily in office, but also in the field, based upon the schedule set with the lead designer. UAI’s office is located in the Woolworth Building (Broadway & Park Place in downtown Manhattan), easily accessible by public transit. Accommodations may be made for remote work up to 2 days per week.

Salary: $56,000 - $63,000 commensurate with experience
