DVLPR is seeking highly motivated architects with strong design talent who are interested in innovative and concept-driven solutions.

 We are looking for a senior architect to assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, and images related to the architectural process. The ideal candidate should be interested in joining a small firm and participating in its growth as we navigate exceptional opportunities.


  • Professional Degree in Architecture
  • 8+ years experience in all phases, including construction documentation and administration
  • License to practice architecture in the USA
  • Ability to assist in the production and development of all necessary documents, drawings, models, images, schemes etc. related to the design and building process
  • Excellent understanding of the design process and ability to translate great architecture into great buildings on time and within budget
  • Strong conceptual and design talent
  • Experience in technical detailing, project related material research, and complex problem solving at all scales
  • Ability to liaise with consultants and contractors to assess design solutions and guarantee the integrity of the final design
  • Exceptionally skilled at problem solving and design work, with the ability to handle issues that come up on site collaboratively
  • Strong AutoCAD, 3D Max, Rhino, and Adobe Suite skills
  • Rendering ability
  • Knowledge of US building codes and standards
  • Fluency in English
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team, guiding junior team members if required
  • Experience presenting to and coordinating with the New York City Planning Authorities in the interest of obtaining Approvals and Permits associated with new-build and redevelopment projects is a plus
  • Experience in an international office is a plus
  • Part-time employment is a possibility 

DVLPR (pronounced developer) is a design studio committed to a proactive role for architectural practice. The studio’s portfolio encompasses a wide range of cultural, residential, and commercial projects including exhibition design, support for artists, scenography, and activism. For several years, culminating in 2022, the studio worked in close collaboration with Sub in Berlin on the worldwide rebranding of Balenciaga's architectural campaign and scenography for Paris fashion week. DVLPR works regularly at the intersection of art and architecture and has realized significant cultural projects with artists and institutions such as Kevin Beasley at the Whitney Museum of American Art, and Cady Noland at the Museum für Moderne Kunst. Most recently, the studio has completed a major commission with artist Timur Si-Qin at the newly opened Meta headquarters in New York.
