Position Description and Responsibilities

We are seeking a full-time Interior Designer for our Phoenix office location. In this role you'll focus on elevating the quality of interior architectural design across a variety of projects. You'll develop and execute design solutions for projects under the direction of leadership, and gain a thorough understanding of the Studio's design philosophy by providing major input and participation in developing and presenting design concepts. You'll utilize an understanding of all phases of a project, including programming client needs, conceptual and schematic design, design development, construction drawings, and construction administration. You'll work with project architects and teams to manage client expectations and ensure design intent is accurately interpreted in documents. 

You'll collaborate with clients, consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, fabricators, building and permitting officials, and a number of other outside parties to ensure projects meet objectives and conform to contract and design specifications. You'll be able to create and implement project systems and an environment conducive to high quality design and professionalism. You'll also have opportunities to mentor and guide the skill development of intermediate and junior staff. We are Seeking Candidates with: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or Architecture 
  • 4+ years' relevant interior design / interior architecture experience 
  • NCIDQ certification and / or Registered Architect
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Google Sketchup, 3D Max, Podium, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, InDesign), and Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of construction processes, materials, material costs, lighting, systems integration / coordination, time limits, and production
  • Familiarity with physical modeling, material, spatial and lighting mock-ups
  • Ability to lead project design teams, execute and delegate work in a timely and constructive manner
  • Excellent skills in multitasking, problem solving, verbal and written communications, and organization
  • Rigorous work ethic
