Job Description

Berliner Architects is currently seeking a Licensed Architect with 7+ years’ experience who shares our passion for thoughtfully designed spaces.

Your Approach

You are a strong, self-directed professional who can lead a team from kickoff through design, documentation, and construction administration. You are passionate about community-based design as well as equity and sustainable design.

Your Experience

  • Researching code and zoning issues, navigating the permitting process and developing building design through all phases of the project, including both interior and exterior building details.
  • Designing High-quality or award-winning schools, colleges, universities, as well as creative office spaces.
  • Managing team communications, internally as well as with clients and consultants.
  • Defining scope of services, as well as proposal segments that include scope, pricing, and terms.
  • Developing and managing project schedules, budgets, and workplans.

Your Profile

  • 7 + years’ experience in architectural design, technical drawing, project management, and 3D modeling.
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in architecture or equivalent
  • Current Architect’s License (Mandatory, California preferred)
  • Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and Sketchup
  • Management and organizational skills to lead projects from schematic design through construction administration.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills including graphic, oral, and written communications.
  • DSA Experience (preferred)
  • LEED Certified (preferred)
  • DBIA Certification (preferred)
