Junior Interior Designer

We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer with 1-3 years of professional experience.  This position requires excellent communication, presentation, organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work independently on multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment. The best candidates will have enthusiasm for environmental sustainability, a dedication to design. and will be passionate about social equity and inclusion.

Candidate qualifications:

  • 1-3 years professional experience
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills
  • Professionalism in dealing with a variety of clients, consultants and vendors
  • Experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi- and single-family residential and/or hospitality/commercial experience preferred
  • Computer skills should include: AutoCAD, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, SketchUp. Project Management Software, Revit and 3D Max a plus.

Job responsibilities include:

  • Interior design and project management from the design phase through installation
  • Knowledge & sourcing of specifications and procurement of furniture, fixtures, finishes and equipment (FFF&E)
  • Client interaction including attending meetings and showroom visits
  • Developing and maintaining a furnishings budget, preparing and tracking furniture orders
  • Coordination with vendors, including design/management of custom fabrication
  • Preparation of design presentations, furniture plans, design elevations and detailed custom furniture drawings
  • Maintaining the Interiors Material Library
  • Interfacing with the internal architecture teams
