We are looking for a full-time Architectural Designer / Project Captain to join our growing and fast-paced team. Designers in our firm are responsible for the successful production of drawing sets, presentations and design concepts. They work both independently and in teams, depending upon project scale. For smaller projects, Project Captains will often perform a combined role of Designer with basic project administration and coordination duties. Both positions are expected to be attentive to quality, detail and adherence to studio standards.
Responsibilities:
-Building and Interiors Design
-Drafting and Rendering
-Presentation and Documentation Production
-Code Research
-Standards compliance
-For smaller scale projects, some consultant and client coordination will be involved
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
-Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture
-3+ years of experience
-Software Experience to include AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite at a minimum
-3D modeling software experience required; flexible between Rhino and SketchUp
-ArchiCAD experience is a bonus
-Ability to work both independently and in teams
-Basic organizational skills
-Drafting skills
-Good design sensibilities
-Presentation graphics skills
-Varied experience with a desire to learn
-Basic detailing skills
-Standard knowledge of agency processing and code compliance
-Basic knowledge of construction techniques and engineering systems
-Good communication and interpersonal skills

-Independent problem-solving abilities, and the ability to reach out to others for assistance with developing solutions
