CallisonRTKL Architects P.C. is currently seeking a BIM Coordinator to join its global BIM team, with the position based in our New York office. The BIM Coordinator will be responsible for providing production leadership, technical support, documentation, training and development to design staff.  Including reviewing, coordinating and ensuring that company project standards are maintained on BIM deliverables. will be responsible for setting up Revit projects within company standards and assisting with advanced modeling as needed. The ideal candidate will be capable of sharing and coordinating a variety of disciplines within the BIM environment with both internal teams and external consultants.

  • Promotes the use of BIM and best practice at all times
  • Ensures compliance with BIM execution plans
  • Ensures compliance with CallisonRTKL national drafting and BIM standards throughout projects
  • Checks models for consistency
  • Makes proposals for any model adjustments, discusses and consults with the relevant members of the team
  • Monitors the implementation of possible adjustments in models
  • Controls, monitors and steers the BIM process
  • Assists and directs BIM workflows
  • Uses advanced tools such as Navisworks/BIM 360 for project collaboration across multiple disciplines in a BIM environment
  • Conducts Revit and BIM training sessions
  • Coaches and guides involved employees with the implementation and application of BIM
  • Guides project teams through the BIM process and provides assistance to the wider practice when required
  • Interacts with our teams and clients to coordinate BIM modeling content and approaches, model exchanges, quality control, and delivery.
  • Combines the federated model, merging various disciplines involved in the construction process, using certain protocols, programs, and structures


  • Bachelor's degree related to Architecture or Engineering preferred
  • 4+ years production experience in design and drafting in Revit
  • Knowledge of Navisworks preferred
  • Experience with BIM360 and BIM360 Docs preferred
  • Experience with design visualization applications such as AutoDesk 360 (Cloud Rendering), 3D Studio Max (and Mental Ray and VRay), Rhino, SketchUp, Formit
  • Experience in Autodesk Dynamo preferred
  • Experience with legacy CAD applications and practices preferred
  • Ability to apply design experience to the models produced
  • Experience defining BIM outcomes preferred
  • Experience setting up and coordinating a BIM Protocol and execution plan for a given project
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions
  • Resourceful team-player with ability to work independently
  • Autodesk BIM certified preferred
