We are looking to hire a motivated Project Designer/Architect with experience in housing & residential projects. Applicants should have strong organizational and project management skills to plan & coordinate all phases of architectural practice from feasibility to construction administration.
Responsibilities:
Be capable of delivering a fully coordinated construction document set
Organize and lead a team in efficiently producing construction documents
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, fabricators, and agencies to meet overall project objectives
Keen understanding of local codes and ability to ensure compliance
Conduct quality control review of documents
Manage client expectations and oversee all project related communication
Work with senior staff to resolve design issues, develop & maintain office standards, and delegate workflow to junior staff
Highly motivated; excellent written, verbal, and graphic capabilities; collaborative, highly organized, and detail-oriented

Education and Work Experience
Professional degree in architecture required
5-8 years of work experience in residential, commercial, multifamily/mixed-use projects
Strong technical background and leadership experience
Demonstrated experience in all phases of project development
Working knowledge of ArchiCAD and/or other BIM software, or a committed interest to learn and master it
Understanding of the LADBS plan check process
