Your Role

Gensler’s architecture practice is looking for a well-spoken senior architect who will push the parameters of architectural design, and help guide project teams for leading academic and civic institutions. You will work closely with the Principal-In-Charge, the Design Director, and the Design Manager within our collaborative and supportive team environment to develop projects from conceptual design through execution. A well-rounded and thoughtful approach to design forms the foundation of our practice and our clients hire us because they believe in the transformative power of design.   

What You Will Do  

  • Be passionate about architecture!  

  • Be friendly, optimistic, and a hardcore team player  

  • Excel in verbal and digital communication  

  • Mentor and provide direction to individual design team members 

  • Collaborate with team members and colleagues to promote an inter-disciplinary design approach and philosophy 

  • Be facile and open to experience with diverse design elements including environmental/social project contexts and sustainability. 

Your Qualifications  

  • 15+ years of experience in an architecture design firm  

  • Architectural License is required 

  • Advanced degree in Architecture preferred 

  • Demonstrated passion for design thinking  

  • Demonstrated expertise exploring and integrating sustainable design strategies  

  • Commitment to creative user engagement, and design for diversity, equity and inclusion 

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • Outstanding graphic presentation skills 

  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship management and mentoring skills 

  • Demonstrated knowledge of 3D modelling and documentation tools including Revit and Adobe Suite   

  • General knowledge of the total project process including team management, schedule and budget
