Construction Observation: Architect’s Field Representative

Qualifications:
You are a seasoned expert in construction and know your way around mid- to high-rise New York City construction sites
Have at least eight solid years of industry experience, primarily focusing on construction phases of projects
Architectural Registration is not mandatory, but would be considered a very strong plus
Proficiency with AutoCAD required, with knowledge of Revit considered a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, and Bluebeam
Strong written and verbal skills
Participate in periodic Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings, whether in-person or virtually
In-Person observation of construction work for general conformance with the drawings and specifications
Provide field reports for site visits
Manage and provide construction administration and oversight, including responding to RFI's, preparing sketches and addendums (CCD's), visiting construction sites to gather information and/or preparing punch lists
Process the contractor’s shop drawings, product data, and samples
Process responses to the contractor’s RFI’s
Evaluate contractor requests for payment
Handle requests for changes during construction
Administer the completion and closeout process for projects
Work on both renovation and new construction projects
Can handle projects from $5-$50 million in scope!
