About the Position:

The Designer is responsible for performing architectural assignments with minimal supervision. The Designer develops and incorporates design intent into a quality set of construction documents. The Designer also assists Job Captain with completion of high-quality drawings and presentation materials from schematic design through construction administration.

About the Responsibilities:

• Prepare preliminary design based on requirements or program.

• Review design with a client and management for approval.

• Prepare construction documents / details for submittal.

• Apply codes.

• Submit project to the city and respond to the city comments.

• Approve submittals during construction administration phase.

• Leads day-to-day operations of all project phases.

• Perform assignments with minimal supervision.

• Coordinate architectural design with external consultant.

• Manage client relationships and lead in-house and consultant teams.

• Manages design hours on projects for themselves.

• Responsible for the accurate completion of construction document production and coordination.

• Responsible for code review on his/her projects with Job Captain or Project Manager.

• Responsible for deadlines on their projects.

• Reach out to vendors for receiving materials / order materials

• Measuring of sites

• Able to multi-task, balance project tasks, manage interruptions and keep project work flowing.

• Dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge and personal/professional growth.

• Responsible for keeping Library organized.

• Project close out (archiving)
