Raymond Fox & Associates (RFA)

Medical Architecture and Consulting Senior Drafter / Job Captain

RFA is looking for a team-oriented senior drafter / job captain to add to their firm in San Diego, California. This is an immediate opening for anyone wanting to relocate.

RFA is a 40 + year old firm dedicated strictly to Healthcare work across the US and Canada.

RFA is a firm with quality culture, where teamwork is paramount and integral in our daily structure. Though inter-office collaboration is a part of our process, each Senior Drafter / Job Captain has significant responsibility and autonomy over their projects. Managing the Design Development and producing Construction Documents, directing consultants and monitoring their progress and on-time delivery of the finished project are key roles of all of our PM's.

You must be strong in self-management, problem solving and personal accountability. We are looking for a candidate that wants to "Own" the projects they are responsible for.

Job Requirements: Minimum 10 years commercial architectural experience. Healthcare experience would be helpful and preferred but not a must. Must have experience with all aspects of the architectural process from Design Development, CD's, Bidding, Permitting and Construction Management. Must have minimum of 10-years of experience in Production Drawings for both Commercial Office Buildings as well as Tenant Improvement.

RFA uses "Vectorworks" (MAC based Program) as it's CAD program. Experience with this would be preferred but the training and understanding of this program for an Auto-CAD user is not typically challenging. Candidate must be prepared to put personal time as well as organized training to achieve proficiency in a timely manner.

Experience with Microsoft Office, Word, Outlook E-mail, writing and documenting skills are important in this position. If you are not proficient in Vectorworks, we expect you to be responsible for 1 week of training time before you start as an employee. Of course, the training costs will be paid by RFA. Salary $35 - $50/Hr.
