We are one of the fastest growing real estate development firm with a growing pipeline of residential, multifamily, and hotel projects. We are seeking a talented Interior Designer with a background in high-quality design across custom residential, multifamily, commercial and hospitality. The opportunity is to envision the design concept for new projects and execute on that vision with the support of our development and in-house general contracting team.
The ideal candidate could either have an interior design or architectural background with the proven ability to run projects from concept to completion.
Education:
Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), a BFA in Interior Design, BSc in Interior Design, Architectural Degree or similar, with a minimum of 5+ years’ post-graduate experience.
Responsibilities:
Complete all phases of a project interior design from concept to completion, including concepting the design direction, space planning, material finish selection for interior and exterior finishes, furniture selection, quality control during construction, project management, budget management, and photoshoot concepting and styling.
Develop full project spec book
Produce interior design presentations and execute the vision once they are approved by the CEO
Coordinate with architects, landscape designers, superintendents, and outside consultants throughout all project phases
Review AOR’s drawings, shop drawings, and submittals to ensure design intent is achieved
Weekly project visits to ensure quality control of construction and adherence to design intent.
Maintaining and inspiring creativity
Required Skills:
Experienced in working in all phases of a project from concept to completion
Needs to have diverse skill sets – Ability to design, prepare presentations, space plan, and schedule & manage a detailed drawing set with a team
Knowledge of Photoshop, InDesign, and AutoCAD - Sketch Up and Blue Beam not essential but beneficial
Ability to design and draw basic elevations for conveying specialty design concepts you envision
Competent in producing material, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and lighting schedules
An understanding of FF&E specifications
Strong communication skills both with internal team and outside consultants, clients, and vendors
Understanding of basic US codes
Self-motivated with the ability to manage time to meet deadlines
Exceptional attention to detail and excellent written and communication skills
Mature, responsible, and reliable, positive attitude, team player with a hands-on approach
