RICE+LIPKA ARCHITECTS seeks Senior Designer

R+L is an award-winning architecture studio design studio with a focus on cultural, education and public works with an enduring sense of place. Recognized for bringing a civic-minded intelligence and resourceful vigor to a diverse range of building, planning and research projects, R+L embraces complex constraints and the latent design potential they carry.

We seek a highly organized intermediate/senior designer, for projects currently in development (including representation & production work), design & consultant/client communications for CD/CA phases of design.  Sr Designer candidates should posess a strong positive drive & attention to detail.

REQUIREMENTS

• Prior leadership experience with realized projects with recognized design studios (NYC experience a plus).
• 3-5 years of recognized experience in all phases of design process.
• Highly developed organizational skills for acad production, representation & management including consultant coordination, project representation.
• Desire and ability to work well within schedule, gauge time and meet deadlines.  The position requires team leadership as well as drawing production.
• Professional degree in architecture required.
• Excellent communications skill with complete fluency in written and spoken English.
• Rigorous attention to established digital studio filing standards, organization and nomenclature.
• Knowledge of and experience with NYC Building Codes, zoning, filing processes a plus.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit a plus), Rhino, V-Ray, Adobe Suite, Work/Excel.
• Current NYC resident with all legal permits and visas required to work in USA.
