Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer

We are seeking an Interior Architectural Designer with 5 years or more of professional experience and excellent design skills to join our studio. This position will have direct exposure to the design process of highly crafted/high quality/award-winning interior spaces and offers the mentorship of experienced architects within our team to enable the selected candidate to grow as a designer.

The position focuses on the interior architectural scope of projects and will include but not be limited to the selection of finishes and fixtures, the development of architectural and millwork details, and the coordination of different trades including MEP and lighting. The position requires collaboration with large project teams, flexibility and attention to detail. Candidates should have an expressed interest in working in a collaborative studio environment, have strong convictions about environmental sustainability, and be passionate about social equity and inclusion.

 Candidate qualifications:

  • 5 or more years professional experience in an architectural or interior design studio
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Must have experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi-family residential and/or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of interiors-related building codes and standards; sustainability and health and wellness standards a plus
  • Strong leadership, management and mentorship skills
  • Exceptional communication skills and professionalism in dealing with a diverse clients, consultants, and vendors
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite required; SketchUp and AutoCad a plus
  • Availability to visit job sites as needed
