Bauerschmidt & Sons is seeking a full-time experienced draftsperson to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of drafting experience and be knowledgeable in the navigation of construction documents. Ideally, the candidate has previous experience with woodworking details and assemblies. Current projects include performing arts center, art museum, hospitality, corporate offices, and high-end residential.
This position is in-person at our Jamaica offices and fabrication shop. Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
Responsibilities
Produce working shop drawings (plans, elevations, sections, details)
Submittals to the architect/GC, redlining as required
Maintain computer versioning records
Make RFI inquires as needed
Coordination with in-house project manager and fabricators
Maintain and implement drawing standards
Manage multiple projects concurrently & efficiently
Qualifications
3+ years of professional drafting experience
Knowledgeable in millwork, industrial design and fabrication processes
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work collaboratively
Excellent communication skills
Organized
Detailed-oriented
