Description: Small architecture office in Silver Lake seeks part-time Office Manager. Strong organizational skills, and ability to work independently and reliably required. Managerial duties include: preparing AIA (American Institute of Architects) contracts agreements, dealing with publications, supplies, incoming mail and calls, filing and assisting principals with administrative tasks, communication between financial team and principals. Additionally, this position will handle all in-house PR such as managing social media accounts, keeping company website up to date, producing newsletters, preparing awards submissions and lecture presentations, and communicating with external PR team. 

Core Duties:

General Office 

  • Manage all communications – Responsible for EGARCH’s primary email account, returning voicemail messages, incoming mail items, etc.

  • Keep office well-functioning and organized: Order office supplies as needed. Keep all software up to date. 

  • Arrange meetings – keep google calendar up-to-date.

  • Prepare contract agreements for new projects. 

  • Conduct orientations for new employees.

  • In general, maintain frequent communication with Principals, keeping tabs on all items that need to be addressed.


  • Interface with EGARCH’s Director of Finance and external Business Manager.

Public Relations

  •  Keep up Instagram/Facebook presence.

  • Create and send out seasonal newsletter outlining recent projects and events using MailChimp.

  • Assist Principals in preparing for lecture presentations.

  •  Assist Principals in preparing award submissions.

  •  Keep the website up-to-date with new projects and new items.

  • Arrange house tours for interested journalists, curators, etc.

  • Prepare project packages for media outlets.

  • Monthly meetings with external PR advisor and Principals.

Assist in Special Projects with Principals

Requirements: The position is 20 to 25 hours a week or approximately 4 days and is paid hourly. A driver’s license/ability to drive is required, but having a car is not a must. Proficiency in MS Word and Excel are a must. Some experience with Adobe Suite is needed.

Other Info: A friendly office with dedicated workers. The principals are big proponents of the arts and often work in exhibition design and are known for their collaborations with artists. For artists interested in the position, the flexible schedule can be used to accommodate studio hours/creative pursuits.
