JUNIOR DESIGN ARCHITECT

Christian Lahoude Studio is looking for a Junior Design Architect to aid in the design and construction of high-end retail environments.

Responsibilities:

This key member of the Christian Lahoude Studio team will be responsible for:

• Working directly with Principal from Schematic Design to Construction administration
• Participating actively in design meetings
• Coordination and communication with vendors, contractors in a timely manner
• Design development drawings
• Coordinating and managing different trades such as AOR, MEP, Expeditor, structural engineer, lighting designers, and other material vendors and suppliers.
• Delegating tasks to junior staff
• Managing staff according to client’s needs
• On-time delivery of work product of exceptional quality
• Schedule management and organization of various projects

Requirements:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• A bachelor’s degree, or above, in Architecture
• 1 to 3 years of professional architectural design experience (post-graduation), participating in and completing small to medium scale commercial projects, including experience in DD
• High Proficiency in Rhino 3D
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, InDesign, V-Ray and Microsoft software.
• Skilled at Photoshop-Postproduction for Rendering.
• Passion for materials and experience in material sourcing, selecting, and specifying for various projects.
• A strong passion for the creation of retail environments and focus on design
• Experience in architectural & millwork details
• Highly motivated and ability to work on projects independently, as well as function as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail
• Knowledge of construction documents, DOB, and Landmark

• Ability to keep up with a fast-paced work environment, competition schedules, and deal with obstacles and tight deadlines with a positive attitude

• Strong communicator, able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks when he/she is required to do so
• Strong conceptual design skills
