AGC Design is seeking a Job Captain/Project Architect with excellent design skill and a strong knowledge of architectural design. This position will involve all stages of design and construction documents, with a focus on mixed-use commercial, office and retail work of all scales.

The primary function of a Job Captain/Project Architect is to take responsibility for the production of quality contract documents while taking direction from the Project Manager. The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • 5+ years professional experience in construction documents
  • Bachelors Degree in Architecture, Drafting, Design, or equivalent
  • Previous experience working on mixed-use commercial projects
  • Knowledge of specifications and construction details
  • Knowledge of California building codes and LEED standards
  • Comfort in working independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of clients as well as vendors
  • Experience in construction document preparation and field observation
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Photoshop is a plus)
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills AGC Design is a planning, architecture, and engineering firm based in Valencia California. We currently have a hybrid work from home schedule that includes bi-weekly meetings in Valencia, CA.
