Lizette Marie Interior Design (lizettemarie.com) is currently seeking a full-time Interior Architect reporting to the Senior Designer.. Our main mission at LMID is to convert our clients’ luxury lifestyle vision into reality. Interior Architect Responsibilities:
Interior Architect
Work directly with the Senior Designer to develop high-quality design, drawings, and documents during all phases of projects from creating conceptual design ideas to construction administration
Generate and interpret construction documents for complex high-end residential projects. Review CDs to ensure accuracy
Prepare design illustrations or rough sketches and presentation graphics, and create digital models
Oversee and execute all design and construction, and ensure it fits within the client’s expectations (budget and timeline) and aesthetic as also outlined by the Senior Designer
Articulate design concepts through pin-ups, slide decks, and sketch sessions
Evaluate and make recommendations regarding floor, space, and elevations that communicate the design intent
Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phase of the project
Project Leader
Develop, oversee & manage the project scope, cost, and timeline through installation in conjunction with the Senior Designer and Studio Director
Oversee the creation of the project timeline with the Studio Director
Manage project timelines with Studio Director by leading the team with clear direction of deliverables
Liaise and develop long-term relationships alongside the design team with clients, contractors, consultants, and vendors
Actively participate in weekly construction site meetings, and liaise with architects, owner’s reps, and other external team members as needed.
Delegate construction tasks to internal team to maintain critical path
Prepare and deliver design presentations for clients, principal, and design team
Manage the quality control of the project / oversee and manage issues with the design team, contractors, vendors, and clients / Work with the design team to help them identify and document problems or conflicts then determine solutions
Maintain all project-related information in Dropbox and Asana and G-sheets
Qualifications & Requirements:
5+ years experience in high-end residential interior design or architecture firm with construction experience
Project experience should include the submission of drawings sets, including but not limited to, specifications, technical production, and knowledge of code.
Ability to originate concepts, and be the design lead for teams putting numerous projects together
Knowledge of custom fabrication
Comprehensive understanding of construction and permit set development and execution
Extensive knowledge of design principles and standards
Strong field observational skills
Ability to convey design options via sketch, 3D model, or other visual mediums
High proficiency in Adobe Suite
Strong proficiency with Mac; G-suites, Quickbooks, Vectorworks, and Asana are a plus
Strong understanding of interior/residential materials, vendors, and terminology
Mastery of communication; Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of audience when articulating information clearly, ie. clients, builders, architects, vendors, design team
Strong space planning and understanding of feasibility
Both detailed oriented and big picture thinker
Comfortable making decisions and maintaining a high level of confidentiality
Agile to switch from Project to Project and assimilate to new information
Access to a car with a valid driver’s license
