ADG is seeking an enthusiastic, articulate, motivated Lead Architect to join our dynamic and growing team at our Columbia, MD office. This individual will lead the Architectural & Interior Design project team(s) and oversee architectural design work from concept through construction for projects requiring interface and collaboration with various disciplines and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor junior architectural staff

• Plan, schedule, coordinate, manage and oversee multi-disciplinary project team.

• Prepare Architectural drawings and specifications and/or supervises their execution for all phases of a project.

• Complete projects from early concept through construction documents including execution of design narratives, specification editing, and material / product selection.

• Perform analysis of design, planning studies, design conceptual layouts and construction details.

• Conducts site and construction surveys for information-gathering and prepare reports. May include travel.

• Executes code analysis, material selections, and technical solutions

• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to ADG’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures

Professional Requirements

• Accredited degree in architecture: BArch / MArch.

• Possess licensure as a Registered Architect (RA)

• 10+ years of experience in the design and documentation of architecture projects, including well-developed skills in comprehensive building design

• Strong understanding of inter-relationships among design/engineering disciplines, clients, and contractors

• Excellent English language skills, written and verbal, are essential to success in this role

• Ideal candidate will need to demonstrate proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
