We are seeking a Project Architect / Job Captain to take a lead role on exciting new development projects in conjunction with the Dewberry Group. The projects range from office high rises to mid-rise residential and commercial properties throughout Georgia, South Carolina and Florida.

Dewberry Group and PLAD are collaborating to build a new design and development company to deliver Dewberry Group projects. The Project Architect / Job Captain will take command of 1 or 2 projects and lead them through construction documentation. The role will be more technical and project management oriented. It calls for a high level of organization and attention to detail with excellent communication and collaborative abilities. 

Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Schematic Designs through Construction Documents 
• Proficiency in architectural detailing
• Thorough understanding of IBC and local codes
• Coordination with consultants 
• Construction administration (including reviewing shop drawings and responding to RFIs)

Desired qualities: 

• 7+ years of experience with designing and detailing architectural projects 
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Proficient in Revit
• Verbal presentation and writing skills 
• Professional registration in Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia or Florida a plus

The position will initially be remote with a transition into the Atlanta office in September. During the remote work period, occasional in-person collaboration sessions will take place.
