We are seeking a Project Manager/ Job Captain with experience in specialty retail interiors to work independently and with our team to profitably manage current and future projects. Projects will be mainly, but not limited to retail. The Project Manager would be responsible for work required by project contracts, having contact with clients, consultants, owner's vendors, landlords, contractors, and agencies having jurisdiction over the work. The Manager's primary role will be drafting and designing in all design phase, exclusively in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite. The Manager needs to assure proper management and workflow on all active projects; monitoring and assuring that design work proceeds within the project design fee and schedule for each phase; and providing leadership to assure that the firm’s management goals are effectively integrated into our process. The role is integral to an environment conducive to high-speed, high-quality output and professionalism.


  • Candidate must have a minimum of 3-5 years experience in specialty retail interiors or other relevant work experience. 
  • Strong drafting and design skills are required and exhibit exceptionalism in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Teams, and all typical software necessary to the work. 
  • Strong code knowledge, programming and extensive knowledge of construction documents. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects (up to 30), from Predesign through Construction Administration, as well as occupancy, and post-occupancy in a very short period of time; keeping up with a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to manage and direct a team, consultants, landlords, contractors, owner's vendors and agencies. Strong, open, and transparent verbal, written and graphic communication skills.  

Management Responsibilities.

  • Works equally well autonomously, in a self-directed environment, or collaboratively with the team to achieve a clear and unambiguous understanding of the design intent of every project as it pertains to scope of work, delivers work on time according to project schedule.  
  • Serve as a leader, mentor and role model. Integrate management practices, style, and culture into the design and production workflow. Participate in employee performance reviews as needed.
