As an Intermediate Designer, you will assist with all phases of project delivery from inception to completion. This requires a proficiency in Presentation and Drafting, a familiarity with Design and Document Coordination, and a willingness to learn about Technical Detailing, Building code, and Jurisdictional Entitlement Processes. Professional experience with Revit is required. This position is ideal for a proactive professional who will thrive in a creative environment spanning multiple projects and deadlines while participating in all levels of project delivery. It has long-term growth potential for those individuals that demonstrate a commitment to the continuing improvement of the firm.
- 3-5+ years relevant Architectural Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture or related field
- Revit (BIM) Professional Experience, including:
- Use of the platform for both design and production in a professional environment
- Understanding of project setup, collaboration, templates, libraries and families
- Understanding of BIM Rendering Capabilities compatible with Revit
- Willingness to evaluate existing office standards/processes and help improve current methods
- Adobe Creative Suite Professional Experience, including Indesign & Photoshop
- Microsoft Office Professional Experience, including Word, Excel, & Powerpoint
- Project Phase Knowledge, including Programming, Concept & Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
- Construction & Occupancy Type Knowledge, especially Types I, III & V Construction
- California Building Code (CBC) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Knowledge, including their effect on design and their application to properly documenting a project
- Ability to identify issues in need of resolution; ability to recommend the appropriate course of action
- Excellent organization & time management skills
- Initiative, flexibility, and the ability to work cooperatively in a team-based environment
- Ability to meet deadlines while still maintaining high production quality
