Our San Diego office is seeking for an experienced Controller that can lead our accounting team through the following areas of responsibility:

 ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBILITIES (Monthly, Quarterly, Annually)

  •  Maintain Monthly Closing Schedule
  • Supervision of preparation of Contract invoices and Hourly and Reimbursable invoices
  • Supervision of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and payroll processing
  • Cash management
  • Bank statement reconciliation
  • Preparation of Monthly Financial Statements including supporting Revenue and Cost Analysis
  • Preparation of Trial Balance and Monthly Closing Information
  • General Ledger account reconciliation
  • Work-In-Progress analysis and reconciliation; review of deferred invoices
  • Maintain and review schedules, i.e., Depreciation, PTO, etc.
  • Preparation of Balance Sheet and Statement of Income
  • Preparation of Quarterly Financial Reports for Board of Director Meetings
  • Preparation of year end audit work papers and draft of Annual Financial Statements
  • Preparation of Annual Financial Analysis for Shareholders’ Meeting
  • Monthly and Year End Ajera closing procedures
  • Corporate Stock Administration


TAX COMPLIANCE

  • Maintain and review Tax Compliance Schedule
  • Tax filings (Corporate/Payroll)
  • Year-end reconciliation for 401(k), Workers Compensation, 1099’s, etc.
  • Preparation of 401k Reports for preparation of Form 5500, 401k ADP Testing, Employer Match True-up, etc.
  • Tax credit knowledge


EMPLOYEE BENEFITS AND PACKAGE INSURANCE POLICIES ADMINISTRATOR

  • Review employee medical benefits and work with broker on updating/renewing benefits; scheduling of employee meeting
  • Review and complete firm insurance policies renewal applications for General Liability Insurance, Professional Liability Insurance, etc.
  • Review and Administrator 401k Plan Document/Compliance Issues


ACCOUNTING/ADMINISTRATIVE PERSONNEL

  • Accounting Staff/Administrative Staff supervision, training and performance appraisals

We are proud to support our teams work-life balance by offering flexible and remote work hours. Our unique office hours of 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday to Thursday allows you to enjoy longer weekends, as the office closes at 11:30am every Friday.
