Home Studios (homestudios.nyc) is currently hiring a Senior Interior Designer/Project Lead to work with our design team. Home Studios is an interior design studio focusing primarily on hospitality projects. As a studio, we are inspired by detail, materials, history, and building processes. SCOPE OF WORK:
PROJECT LEAD & PRIMARY POINT OF CONTACT
CONCEPT & NARRATIVE CREATION WITH DESIGN DIRECTOR
OVERSEE PROJECT TEAM, SET AND MAINTAIN WEEKLY INTERNAL PROJECT DEADLINES
DESIGN PRESENTATIONS: SCHEMATIC, DD PHASE, POST DD
WEEKLY MEETINGS WITH DESIGN DIRECTOR TO REVIEW PROJECT PROGRESS AND UPDATES
COORDINATION WITH ARCHITECT AND CONTRACTOR
CREATE/OVERSEE SCHEMATIC PLANS, MODEL, ID SET AND CUSTOM DRAWINGS, CA SKETCHES
BUILD HS PROCUREMENT AND CUSTOM QUOTES WITH PROJECT MANAGER
CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION
Requirements:
6+ years of relevant design experience
Highly motivated and passionate about design and/or architecture
ARCHITECTURE OR INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE BACKGROUND PREFERRED
Experience managing drawing sets
Extremely organized and detail oriented
Experience managing a team
Experience with heavy consultant coordination
Problem solver
Team player and enjoy working collaboratively
Construction Administration
Software requirements (highly proficient): AutoCad, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, Google Docs (Sheets)
