  • Authoring scripts and programs that enable, inspire, or generate the design of complex parametric systems
  • Identifying inspiration, trends, and references to build consensus and determine the product requirements and new opportunities
  • Using your communication and clarity to lead design reviews and agile-based projects
  • Increasing the efficiency and practicality of manufacturing through the creation of automation scripts.
  • Thoughtfully developing the creative and engineering details to ensure ease of use and manufacturing
  • Reviewing your finished systems in our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility; in the same building you designed it

Naturally, you have:

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience as a Computational Designer
  • Expertise with Rhino and incredible Grasshopper scripting skills, including the creation of custom components
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, VB, or C#
  • A passion for fabricating your digital designs and working with your hands
  • Strong graphic and layout skills
  • A love for patterning
  • Confidence in your hand sketching
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • A drive to take responsibility and get things done, while being a stellar team player
  • A passion for continuing to learn and grow
  • Organizational skills that help you to keep track of everything
  • Experience with architectural design, detailing, and construction details
  • Photoshop skills
  • A love and hate relationship with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or Computational Design

Any of these would be a plus:

  • Experience with Houdini
  • Experience with sheet metal design
  • Experience with microcontrollers
  • Experience with Alias

This is a hybrid role so a local candidate is a Must.
