Posen Architects, LLC, an award-winning design firm located in West Orange, NJ, specializing in Healthcare, Higher Education, Science & Technology and Institutional design, has a career position for a self-motivated and creative individual looking for a professional challenge.  Individual will be a registered architect responsible for client contact and all phases of the design and construction process.

 Key Focus Areas:

• Apply sound architectural and/or design techniques, methodologies, and principles to all work product
• Work independently on all projects varying in size and scope
• Demonstrate clear competency in preparing and supervising the preparation of all phases of documents

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work directly with one or more Principals to develop a complete and successful project(s)
• Understand codes and can produce a coordinated set of construction documents and specifications
• Responsible for coordination of outside consultants and engineers
• Coordinate construction administration with construction managers/general contractors
• Review shop drawings, submittals, organize logs and coordinate distribution of all project correspondence.
• Run and coordinate job meetings assuring that all tasks are assigned and completed
• Attend pre-proposal meetings and write scope of work and services for new proposals
• Using office templates, develop skills to write proposals for repeat clients

 Qualifications:

• Ability to communicate effectively both in written format and oral presentation
• Ability to multi-task and establish priorities
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership
• Proficiency in Revit/BIM as well as Auto/CAD, Microsoft Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Education:

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited university/college

Experience:

Minimum of seven to ten years of Architectural experience. 

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

Professional architect registration in the USA
