commoncraft is a Brooklyn-based architectural design practice that uses common architectural means and methods to craft uncommon architectural ends. Our current work includes a variety of projects in the NYC-area such as single- and multi-family residential renovations, ground-up mixed-use construction, and a number of commercial build-outs.
We are seeking a freelance Architectural Designer with 3-5 years experience. We are looking for a candidate with a strong design background interested in gaining experience on a range of project types and phases. Candidates should have the following skills & experience:
3-5 years experience with a Professional Degree in Architecture
Strong representation, visualization, and design skills
Highly motivated, reliable, organized, and resourceful individual
Ability to work either independently or as part of a team
Interest in gaining comprehensive architectural design knowledge, from design to documentation
Familiarity with multi-family & single-family residential projects throughout all phases of design/construction
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD, Rhino 3D, Adobe CS
Proficiency in physical modeling and designing through making
