Santos Prescott and Associates is building our team to complete large-scale affordable housing projects in San Francisco.  We are seeking a well-educated, technically-oriented person to join our team to work on several interesting urban infill projects,The selected candidate will work directly with the principal and senior staff, consultants and contractor on all phases of the projects to make a difference in the housing supply in the city.

Ideal candidate will have:

• A professional degree in architecture from an NAAB accredited school

• An interest in building technology, building code interpretation, and architectural detail

• Experience in construction documents, detailing, and coordinating with consultants

• 2+ years experience in an architectural office

• Experience using Revit in a professional environment and using BIM 360 for remote collaboration

• Graphic proficiency and experience in assembling design presentations, within Adobe InDesign and the Creative Suite.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and organizational skills

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work with principals and senior staff to prepare presentation materials, 2D and 3D design and construction documents, including CAD, hand drawing & model making
  • Create, edit, and manage construction drawing sets
  • Assist with project correspondence, schedule, and budget
  • Assist with Planning & Building Code compliance
  • Collaborate with principals on design direction
  • Research and specify materials and systems with a focus on sustainability
  • Conduct site visits and attend OAC meetings

This position is in our San Francisco office located in SOMA not far from MUNI/BART.  In March we will be moving to a new lot studio.  We will set you up fo remote work.  Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
