TWINSTEPS architecture, with offices located in Denver, Irvine, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Seattle is hiring! As part of our continued growth, we are seeking strong Job Captains for Commercial and Technology projects with the ability to work on projects in all areas that we serve.

Job Captain Roles and Responsibilities

Job Captains work with Project Architects and Project Managers on varying project types on all phases. Job Captains are responsible for meeting with clients, consultants, contractors, and city officials as needed. Job Captains lead the project coordination with the consultant team, provide drafting support for the preparation of project documents, coordinate with the production team for design and production, and communicate with internal and external team members.

Qualifications

The Ideal candidate

• Is comfortable and adept at working on multiple fast paced projects;
• Has excellent communication skills, is highly organized, and has acute attention to detail while being thorough;
• Will be a solid self-starter, proactive, a creative thinker and independent problem solver;
• Has 3-5 years of professional experience;
• Has experience in Commercial, Industrial, Technology, and/ or Life Science projects (clean room and lab experience preferred);
• Has strong Revit skills, BxP implementation experience is a plus; Sketchup, Photoshop, InDesign or additional graphic skills are preferred;

• Understands construction detailing;
• Has construction knowledge and has worked with contractors;
• Has a working knowledge with Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders;
• Has a working knowledge of the CBC, Accessibility, and local codes.

Education Requirements

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in architecture or related field; Architectural Registration (or on track) is preferred.
