The Opportunity:

Perkins Eastman - Stamford is searching for talented Project Managers (Project Manager II) who are ready to engage, learn, and contribute to a vibrant and active studio culture. This individual should have a passion for high-quality design and possess strong analytical problem-solving skills within their collaborative process. This position will provide an opportunity to work with integrated design teams on Workplace, Corporate Interiors, K-12, Multifamily Residential, Higher Education, Hospitality, and Commercial/Mixed projects. The individual selected must possess the ability to react positively to a variety of design priorities, styles and project delivery methods. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Teams with the Project Architect, and/or Project Designer to manage multiple small/medium projects
  • Coordinates all financial aspects of assigned projects, creates budgets, schedules, work plans, and estimates scope of work.
  • Has full responsibility the financial performance of multiple small to midsize projects.
  • Responsible for the coordination of all project efforts, administrative and technical, to ensure the most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects.
  • Serves as the primary client liaison to bring the schedule, budgets, and scope of work to completion and to the client's satisfaction.
  • Actively manages project budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications and documentation; office administrative tasks; and project team assignments.
  • Estimates fees, determines scope of work, and prepares proposals and contracts.
  • Meets with client and may be asked to present design presentations
  • Follows established standards for project production and review.
  • Keeps Principal in Charge informed of progress or need for assistance
  • Assists the studio and leaders with generating Design Services Proposals and Additional Services Requests.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple project teams.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture/Design from an Accredited School.
  • Minimum of 8 years’ experience, 5+ years of relevant project management experience.
  • Is able to encourage a collaborative work environment.
  • Strong communication, graphic, organization, technical and written skills
  • Demonstrated experience in and readiness to lead the design management of projects.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, and other software such as Bluebeam, Word and Excel.
  • Basic proficiency in computer-assisted design software such as Revit.
  • Has Architectural license or NCIDQ qualification or is on path to licensure.
  • Has LEED accreditation or is willing to pursue it or its equivalent in the next 6 months.
  • Experience with Deltek Vision desired
