Fischer Architecture is an award-winning small practice in West Berkeley currently seeking a candidate with 0-5 years work experience in an architecture firm to join us on a full-time basis. We work collaboratively on all projects, and our entire team takes on a variety of responsibilities during all project phases. We specialize in single family residential design, with the occasional commercial project among our commissions.  Required Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will:

·       hold a degree in architecture

·       have working knowledge of:

o    At least one CAD program (we use Vectorworks so knowing that is a plus, but not critical)

o    Adobe Creative Suite

o    Microsoft Office

o    SketchUp and Rhino (or 3d modeling software)

o    3d printing as well as conventional model making

o    Mac Platform (a plus, not critical, but easy to learn)

·       be passionate about solving problems, resourceful, motivated, and willing to support a project from the conceptual stages through construction

·       be able to think three-dimensionally and have strong graphic skills and sensibilities; posses capable and thoughtful verbal and writing skills

·       have experience working in a team, be comfortable taking direction as well as working independently

·       be a professional, able to work in an organized manner, even when the pace gets a bit quick

·       be an honest communicator, be comfortable asking for help and taking constructive criticism, as well as feel comfortable expressing their own opinions and ideas

·       enjoy contributing to our fun and supportive office culture

·       have a vehicle in order to travel independently to project sites
