  • Organizing 12+ conferences per year.
  • Support the Programming Director in all of the following:
    • Selecting Keynotes, Co-Chairs, Speakers and Topics for each conference, 4-6 months in advance
    • Research and Recruit eligible speakers for events (Recruitment oversight of 200+ speakers a year)
    • Manage event details including agenda, speaker topics and website content
    • Work with the designers on conference website/marketing aspects including copy for blasts and making sure the website is up-to-date.
    • Retrieve assets from speakers (headshots, bios, project images, marketing contacts).
    • Facilitate communication with speakers’ firm’s marketing department and AN marketing team.
    • Coordinate with AN editorial on blog posts related to the event for marketingpurposes
    • Working with Events Marketing Assistant to Prepare Press Releases, MarketingCopy for Blasts, Social Media.
    • Assist speakers/panelists with their presentations.
    • Coordinate with speakers to receive and handle presentation files before and during event.
    • Help Events Marketing Manager with VIP dinners and other speaker-relatedactivities
    • Speaker Relations and Follow up on any speaker stipends, etc.
    • Travel to Events, coordinate speakers the day-of the event, stage manage theevent and coordinate timekeeping.
    • Follow up with speakers to request use of presentations.
    • Generate articles and interviews for the Facades+ website, work with Programming Manager and Editorial team to develop new content
    • Assist the marketing team (as needed) to facilitate marketing the events. 

Required Skills

- Strong written and verbal skills

- Ability to take ownership of projects and manage the process from end-to-end

- A working knowledge of the architecture and design industry, and a willingness to become an expert

- Capable of juggling multiple projects and staying ahead of deadlines

- Able to work collaboratively

- Experience in Marketing and Events is a plus (preferably in an Architecture/Design Industry)
