RIOS is seeking a Senior Project Manager that will be responsible for ensuring that projects meet design quality, schedule, contractual, and budget goals. You will oversee project communications and tracking schedules, review construction drawings and RFIs, and evaluate and coordinate building systems, and you’ll be responsible for managing the development and oversight of projects from conception through construction and closeout. This will be an engaging position requiring strong architectural capabilities, organizational skills, and construction experience.

The ideal candidate will take active ownership and leadership in the projects, take pride in their work, and thrive in a technically challenging and hands-on environment; Must demonstrate excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, and have a commitment to establish a positive and effective working relationship with all members of the project team.

The role is based in Austin, TX to work on dynamic local projects 

The ideal candidate must possess the following skills:

  • Manage all phases of projects, including project kick-off, scheduling, design, construction administration, and budgets, and coordinate all internal and external resources with subcontractors, vendors, and consultants.
  • Lead project team meetings and oversee all project communications, including RFIs, submittals, invoices, change orders, and construction-related documentation.
  • Interpret drawings, specification, and field issues.
  • Deliver quality projects on time and within budget.
  • Track all project budgets and job costs.
  • Develop and maintain all project logs and tracking & management tools - flow charts, checklists, and templates.
  • Communicate and ensure that the design intent is carried throughout the project.

Minimum Qualifications:  

  • 10+ years construction industry experience 
  • 4-year Bachelor’s degree in Architecture required, degrees in Project Management, , Engineering, Business, or Construction Management or equivalent combination of experience and/or training within a technical field a plus
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with quality and health and safety standard
  • Proficient in reading construction documents and architectural drawings
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Project management software such as Procore, and BlueBeam
