Intermediate Revit & AutoCAD Draftperson

Job Description:

Intermediate Revit and AutoCAD draftperson to assist in the preparation of design development and construction documents for established high-end residential and commercial design firm in Newport Beach, CA.


  • Assist with preparation of design presentation material
  • Assist with design development and construction document production
  • Assist with plan check correction process
  • Assist with coordination of project consultants including: interior designer, landscape architect, civil engineer, structural engineer, geotechnical engineer, MEP engineers, etc.
  • Taking and publishing meeting notes


  • Minimum 3-5 years working experience with Revit and AutoCAD software on residential projects. Hospitality, commercial and/or retail experience helpful but not immediately required
  • Strong proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is a must.  Additional computer skills with graphic presentation programs as Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator are desirable as well
  • General familiarity with CRC and CBC.
  • General familiarity with Type V construction methods and detailing as well as high-end residential detailing
  • General understanding of Geotechnical, Civil, Structural, MEP and FLS engineering functions sufficient to interact with these consultant disciplines
  • Ability to assist project architect, project designer and production manager in taking schematic designs through DD and CD with attention to detail and ‘pride of ownership’ in final work product. 
  • Must be  organized and able to work on multiple projects
  • Ability to learn quickly and to take direction in a constructive and supportive manner and to contribute to promoting a harmonious and positive work environment
  • Ability to  adapt to exiting office graphic standards
  • Team player able and willing to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with Construction Administration protocol.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to take concise meeting notes.
  • Social, professional and interpersonal skills sufficient to interact comfortably and effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, as well as in-house staff.
