In the magazine’s annual Giants 400 Report, the firm ranked high in three specific categories:

  • No. 13 in rankings of the top 160 architecture firms
  • No. 6 in rankings of the top 50 airport facility architecture and AE firms
  • No. 3 in rankings of the top 100 sports facility architecture and AE firms

In the past year, HNTB’s sports architecture practice has completed design work on two of the highest-profile venues in professional sports, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, home of the Las Vegas Raiders, and Field, the new home stadium of Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew.

The firm also is engaged in some of the most significant airport projects across the country, including serving as designer for the concourse expansion program at Denver International Airport, architect of record for the new South Terminal C at Orlando International Airport, and lead architectural designer for Automated People Mover stations and maintenance facility at Los Angeles International Airport.

What We're Looking For 

A career-minded Architech early in career to be responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions. Assigned to handle specific technical design aspects of a project for which he/she is responsible including investigating, evaluating, and recommending the design solutions that best meet the client's needs. Performs assignments under direction with limited responsibility for design. 

  On-site Construction Administration to Include

·       Submittals and RFI reviews

·       Field visits and observation reports

·       Drawing Revisions and coordination

·       Plans and conducts tasks requiring independent judgment in the analysis of design, planning and occupancy studies and design layouts.

·       Performs a variety of assignments requiring the application of standard architectural techniques for project assignments.

·       Assists in the preparation of project specifications compiling and analyzing relevant data.

·       Confers with other architects and engineers for the purpose of explaining and interpreting architectural standards, codes or regulations

·       Prepares progress reports and keeps others informed.

·       Actively participates in quality implementation plans, including scheduling QC reviews, coordinating documents for issuance, and compiling comments into project documents.

·       Prepares documentation for submission to the City

·       Responsible for minor consultant coordination, under direct supervision

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

·       Revit skills strongly preferred

·       Bluebeam experience

·       Microsoft Office suite

·       Expresses verbal and written ideas effectively. Demonstrates an understanding of departmental terminology.

Essential Responsibilities 

Provides professional architectural consulting in the planning, design and coordination of project assignments. Makes recommendations on design alternatives.

Applies diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad array of assignments. Independently makes decisions on significant architectural design problems and methods. Has full technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating architectural design assignments.

Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meet the client's need. Frequently researches unusual and non-recurring problems.

Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs. Carries out assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures.

·       May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects.

·       May assist with proposal preparation/business development.

·       Performs other duties as assigned.

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

·       Bachelor's degree in Architecture

·       2 years related experience

·       Revit skills
