Director of Architecture - Production

Working in the commercial, hospitality, and residential sectors, you will be responsible for the management of all phases of our projects from design and computer modeling of initial conceptual ideas through to construction detailing as well as site construction administration work.  


  • Supervise the staff in creating and maintaining 3D models and design documents in the current Revit version(s)
  • Provide initial and updated design support for assigned projects
  • Review and comment on the quality of work by staff, consultants, and third-party vendors to ensure accuracy with design intent and construction code 
  • Support the Principal Architect and staff in the preparation and organization of construction documents for submittals
  • Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with all internal and external design team members, clients, and their representatives
  • Work deliberately and efficiently to meet design schedule demands 
  • Maintain project files and supervise staff usage of same using excellent organizational and documentation skills throughout the design process; set project file protocols to ensure efficiency
  • Provide detailed, accurate, and timely communication regarding the project schedule, deadlines, and task status with the Principal Architect, staff, clients, consultants, and jurisdictional staff. 

General Professional Requirements

  • Registered Architect (or on the path to obtaining in near future)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage the successful completion of architectural projects from conception to certificate of occupancy and punch list completion
  • Reputation for clear communication of design intent and solutions for design challenges to Principal Architect, staff, clients, and consultants
  • Advanced expertise in Construction Documentation – including demonstrating knowledge of U.S. construction methodologies and codes 
  • History of overseeing and prioritizing outcomes and timely completion of all tasks by staff and consultants which may be required to complete the architectural process from concepts through construction
  • Demonstrated construction detailing skills in Revit including use of National CAD Standards or similar 
  • Desire to create a future with the firm - including potential for partnership
