Intermediate Interior Architectural Designer

COOKFOX Architects is seeking an Interior Architectural Designer with at least 5 years professional experience and excellent design skills to join our studio.  This position will focus on the interior architectural scope of projects and will include but not be limited to the selection of finishes and fixtures, the development of architectural and millwork details, and the coordination of different trades including MEP and lighting. The position requires collaboration, flexibility and attention to detail.  Candidates should demonstrate interest in working in a collaborative studio environment, have strong convictions about environmental sustainability, and be passionate about social equity and inclusion.

Candidate qualifications:

  • At least 5 years professional experience in an architectural or interior design office
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design
  • Must have experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi-family residential and/or hospitality experience preferred
  • Knowledge of interiors-related building codes and standards; sustainability and  health and wellness standards a plus
  • Awareness of key design trends, lighting, color, and materials
  • Leadership and management skills required with ability to mentor
  • Strong communication skills and demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of high-end clients as well as vendors
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized
  • Proficiency in Revit and Adobe Suite required; SketchUp and AutoCad a plus
  • Availability to visit job sites as needed
