Interior Architectural Designer

COOKFOX Architects is seeking an Interior Architectural Designer with 4-6 years professional experience and excellent design skills to join our studio.  This position will focus on the interior architectural scope of projects and will include but not be limited to the selection of finishes and fixtures, the development of architectural and millwork details, and the coordination of different trades including MEP and lighting. The position requires collaboration, flexibility and attention to detail.  Experience with a variety of project types, particularly single family residential is desired. The best candidates will have enthusiasm for environmental sustainability and a dedication to design.

The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:

  • 4-6 years professional experience in an architectural or interior design office
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture or Interior Design (or equivalent)
  • Must have experience working on multiple interiors projects: high-end, multi- and single-family residential and/or hospitality experience preferred
  • Awareness of key design trends, lighting, color, and materials
  • Knowledge of interiors-related building codes, standards and sustainability & health & wellness standards a plus
  • Comfort in working independently, demonstrates professionalism in dealing with a variety of high-end clients as well as vendors
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and organized, with strong graphic and communication skills
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCad and Revit required; Adobe CS and Microsoft Office a plus.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in PC inclusive of communication tools for in office and remote work
  • Ability to visit job sites as needed
