West of West is looking for a talented person to join our Portland studio. As a Project Designer II at West of West, you will tackle a wide range of tasks in all project phases from Concept development through Construction Documents. You will work closely with studio leaders on design-driven projects across the U.S. You are confident, knowledgeable, and reliable. You are independent and proactive, and excited to bring your talents to a growing young design studio. 

What you’ll bring:

  • 5+ years of experience with Construction Administration experience
  • Strong design talent and visual aesthetic
  • Technically oriented, reliable, independent with strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to synthesize design intent and technical execution to deliver high-quality projects
  • Manage and execute design development, construction documentation, and construction administration. 
  • Experience with building systems, codes, permitting, and construction techniques
  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with consultants, clients, and contractors
  • Expert Revit skills
  • B.Arch or M.Arch Degree
  • A hungry, humble, and positive attitude
  • A strong, self-motivated work ethic and commitment to great design
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
