Position Description: Gould Evans is seeking a full-time project architect to work collaboratively as part of our design studio. Ideal candidate would have 7+ years of experience, with a professional degree from an NAAB accredited program or other architectural design academy (domestic or international).

Proficiencies and values in:

  • Design and collaborative design process
  • Ability to be self-directed to create new ideas both independently and in collaboration.
  • Technical design and execution, unique material detailing experience is a bonus
  • Design Build and/or experience connecting conceptual design and exploring technical design detailing
  • Complex project processing
  • Revit proficiency required
  • Construction administration experience for projects with unique design 
  • Portfolio with built work

 Primary responsibilities of the position:

  • Development of design, documentation, mock-up and construction administration support
  • Responsible for team coordination, internal and external consultants
  • Coordination of detail design with sub-contractor input
  • Coordination with specification writer conveying design intent through drawings and specs
  • Revit modeling, working as a team to coordinate modeling methods
  • Work with the project team on energy performance, budget and design criteria
  • Development of sustainable design, coordinating compliance with local state and federal regulations

 Additional experience desired:

  • A detailed knowledge of building materials, detailing, construction techniques, building systems
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • An ability to resolve complex technical design issues.
  • Strong rendering skills- knowledge of 3DS Max, Rhino, VRAY, and SketchUp, preferred
  • Experience in early design phases.
  • Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary environment and be flexible to support numerous teams in any project phase.
