Job description - SENIOR DESIGNER

Who We Are!: 

NYC - Soho based Interior Design firm is seeking qualified candidates with 7 to 10 years of Interior Design studio experience in hospitality, residential and commercial design. 

Sygrove Associates is a highly successful interior design firm specialized in lobby, hallway and common area installations in high-end cooperatives, condominiums, and real estate developments. We are currently looking for an aesthetically proven, energetic, highly organized, flexible and creative senior designer to join our team in our New York City office. The candidate will have a wide variety of design work responsibilities, must be a team player, and be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment. The position is currently a remote position as well as in person visits to clients at their locations and project management.

What Will You Do!: 

Deep involvement with the end to end design strategy and implementation process

Work closely with company owner to establish project concepts and goals

Develop detailed design schemes for Client review and presentation

Finalize design scheme that is to be implemented

Coordinate all efforts as a team leader and team player E2E work on every aspect of our designs from concept to completion  Work with other team members with on-site measuring and surveys  Take “before” photos of jobsites to share with the team  Enter site survey information into CAD and return to the site to verify  Source materials and furnishings  Communication with vendors and request product information, samples, and quotes  Prepare design schemes for client presentations inclusive of floor plans, material boards, material board and budgets 

Communicates designs through detailed drawings of millwork, furniture, custom designed items Prepare both virtual and actual presentation boards  Attend either virtual or in-person design presentation meetings with clients as required Attend and conduct weekly virtual project meetings and take meeting notes that will be distributed to the client, contractors and our team  Assist with furniture and material delivery inspections  Punch list spaces and return to verify completion  Update project maintenance manuals and specifications  Work closely with all team members including the principal of the company  All other duties as assigned or needed

Ideal candidate must possess excellent AutoCAD drafting skills, be proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Office, superior communication skills with staff, clients and vendors/contractors and have knowledge of design and construction details, as well as furniture specifications. Attention to detail is critical.

Technical Skills Required:  MS Office  AutoCAD  Adobe Photoshop  SketchUp  Renderings are a plus  Must be authorized to work in the United States

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience. Medical Coverage, 401K and Profit-Sharing Plan, and Paid Vacation. 

COVID-19 considerations: 

Proof of Vaccination status must be up to date

Currently working a combination of remotely and in the office “as needed” to prepare for presentations

Site Visits are required and follow clients COVID protocol
