Architect/ Architectural Designer - Education

WRT is seeking an Architect/ Architectural Designer with 5-10 years of experience for a mid-level position in our Philadelphia office with a focus on educational planning and design.   Our work includes a variety of planning, urban design, and architectural project types for educational, multi-family residential and mixed-use clients.

 Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating on the design process from conception to completion
  • Design and implementation of primarily education planning and design projects
  • Fostering and maintaining a collaborative professional working relationship with teams
  • Participate in bidding and VE efforts
  • Code review and analysis
  • Mentor and direct the work of less experienced staff
  • Multiple roles in all phases of design, documentation, and construction administration

 The ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor or Master of Architecture is required
  • 5-10 years of experience with educational planning and design projects.
  • Strong design and graphic skills
  • Passion for design and building craft
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Team player mentality and a mentorship mindset
  • Professional licensure is preferred.
  • LEED AP certification is preferred.
  • Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) is required
