About the Position

Z Properties is seeking an experienced in-house architect to join our growing team in Winter Park, FL. This position will be responsible for the documentation of design and overall coordination of building systems from project inception through construction administration. The project architect will work closely with Z Properties’ principal and founder, Zane Williams, along with an integrated team of project managers and interior designers to develop plans and specifications for a variety of project types. The ideal candidate will be organized, detailed-oriented, and a self-starting individual driven to succeed.

  • Provide conceptual design and design support documentation (Conceptual physical and digital models, renderings, diagrams, technical drawings) on a variety of building projects

  • Oversee and revise construction documents, drawings and renderings for projects

  • Negotiate critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties

  • Collaborate with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in

    accordance with project expectations

  • Ensure work meets clients’ requirements in a timely manner

  • Manage the work of architecture and interior design staff that complete design or

    production work, and construction documents

Skills, Knowledge, Education And Experience

  • 2+ years of architecture experience, workplace project experience preferred

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field

  • Professional licensure preferred

  • Ability to prioritize and lead multiple projects simultaneously

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • AutoCAD, Revit and Sketch-up proficiency

  • Ability to work well with others especially under deadline situations 

Physical Requirements

  • Capable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project and construction meetings

  • Ability to access existing and new project sites for observation, investigation and evaluation purposes

  • Ability to use equipment for communication and documentation purposes

  • Visual acuity to perform responsibilities
