In a Nutshell

The Architectural Project Manager oversees the entirety of the design process of MN homes from project concept to permit-approved drawings.

Key functions

  • Models and reinforces actions and behaviors consistent with the Company's values, mission, and culture
  • Complete due diligence and analysis on projects during feasibility period
  • Lead design projects from concept through completion while managing design teams, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Oversees internal drafters who create electrical and lighting plans for projects, site plans, re-use sets and architectural drafting
  • Manage permit process and seek approval from jurisdiction plan reviewers and building departments to comply with local code
  • Participates in all employee lifecycle activities including but not limited to: interviewing, onboarding, training, mentoring, conducting weekly 1-on-1’s, just-in-time coaching, disciplinary actions, performing regular performance reviews, and offboarding
  • Collaborates on cross-functional projects or initiatives as needed or required 
  • Participates as an OKR Champion for the organization as needed or required
  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including company owners, managers, subcontractors, designers, tradespersons, team members and field staff
  • Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned

What You’ll Need to Succeed

  • BA/BS or other professional degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • 10+ years’ experience in residential design
  • Experience managing teams in a leadership position
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate results from subcontractors, department staff and customers while preserving good relations
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Careful attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Expert knowledge of building construction systems means and methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Ability to make sound, quick decisions, while under pressure and when faced with unexpected occurrences or delays
  • Ability to review and accurately interpret engineering, architectural and other construction drawings
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketchup and/or Bluebeam
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required to be furnished upon hire absent an approved accommodation
