This job could be remote or in person, or a hybrid.

We are looking for team members with shared design intent and experience in document production and climate-specific, high-performance, low-carbon design. Our projects span the Greater Yellowstone Region, with staff working in offices in Bozeman, MT, and Driggs, ID, as well as from their own homes in the region. The new team member will support projects in Montana and throughout the region, helping our firm continue its growth trajectory. We offer competitive pay, a flexible schedule and a culture of transparency.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • 3-5 years experience in an architecture office, working from conceptual design through to construction documents.

  • Rocky Mountain region or other cold climate building familiarity preferred; experience with foam free, high performance or other assemblies and systems preferred.

  • Proficiency in BIM. Strong working knowledge in Revit or ArchiCAD.

  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and under supervision.

  • Excellent written and spoken communication skills.

  • Proficiency in graphic design, construction technology and digital media, Adobe Creative Suite and MAC platform preferred.

  • Accredited degree in architecture preferred / License not required.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Obtain and assemble data to complete architectural drawings, visit job sites to compile measurements as necessary.

  • Draw rough and detailed scale plans for foundations, buildings and structures, based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data.

  • Research construction details.

  • Coordinate and incorporate drawings and information from engineering consultants into construction documents.

Compensation, Benefits and Work Conditions:

  • Full-time employment at competitive hourly rate. Compensation will be based on experience and will be increased at designated intervals, depending upon performance.

  • Flexible work hours within the telecommuting/remote studio business model where primary portion of work is completed in one of our regional offices

  • The appropriate combination of desktop and/or lap top equipment will be supplied as well as licensure to the company’s software platform(s).
