What We Are Looking For

The core accountability of this role is to design, manage, and oversee the interior design of specific projects, lead client presentations, and coordinate the integration of interior selections with the architectural team.

In other words, this position requires a thorough understanding and appreciation for the design and life of a project, as well as an ability and inclination to engage with clients and consultants to ensure a delightful process and result. 

This position is not for those interested in working in an isolated environment with a limited set of specialized skills. This position is for those who have great talent and want to elevate their skills by collaborating with an amazing team and contributing to the growth of an office

Essential Job Functions: As Interior Designer, an individual shall:

  • Ensure client delight through trust-based project leadership and generous collaboration
  • Lead the design of specific residential and commercial projects by crafting concepts that integrate and elevate the architectural language
  • Conduct programming efforts such as space planning, layout, utilization of furnishings and equipment, and lighting and color coordination
  • Develop innovative design concepts, which are practical, aesthetic, and reflective of client goals and respective of their budget
  • Prepare and lead client presentations
  • Lead communication and coordination with other vendors, and contractors to ensure project execution
  • Support the construction administration phase, respond to RFIs, and review shop drawings
  • Support Project Managers and Studio Director on specific project
  • Lead, manage, and hold accountable all supporting staff

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    • 5-15 years of experience in high-end commercial, F&B, and residential architecture and interior design
    • Experience successfully leading interior project teams and coordinating with project consultants
    • Bachelor’s / Master’s degree 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Extensive knowledge of furniture, fixture, equipment, architectural/interior finishes, and lighting and color schemes 
    • The ability to visually communicate design through drawings, diagrams, and details with expertise and precision
    • Strong leadership and self- motivation
    • Experience with putting together a drawing set
    • Advanced sensibility of of design, industry trends, materials, innovations and the aptitude to translate these ideas
