Ted Porter Architecture is a New York City based firm focused on high-end residential and institutional projects with an emphasis on carefully detailed, high-performance structures and environmentally sustainable design.

TPA is seeking a Junior Architect with 1-3 years post-graduation work experience to assist the Project Architect with various projects through all phases of design, construction documentation, and construction administration. The ideal candidate would have a superb design sense, good organizational skills, perseverance, and a strong work ethic that will be the right, long-term fit for our intense, creative, and dynamic office environment for an immediate start.

Ideal candidates should meet the following criteria:

·       Professional BArch degree or MArch.

·       ~1-3 years of work experience. CD experience is a plus.

·       Proactive and communicative attitude.

·       Excellent multi-tasking and detailed organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

·       Dependability, professionalism and a positive attitude are a must.

·       Collaborative talent and design skills with different media (physical model building, hand sketching and computer modeling).

·       Proficiency in Autocad, SketchUp and Adobe CS. Fluency in Vectorworks desirable.

·       Current U.S. work VISA.
