We are looking for creative and inspired individuals to join our team. You should be able to take ownership of your projects, be it in the design or construction documentation process. UALab strives to develop well-rounded architectural thinkers, as such we try to involve team members in all aspects of the design, documentation, and construction process. To be successful in this position you should be visual, adaptable, detailed, and thoughtful. As a boutique practice, we don’t focus on titles. Rather we believe every individual should be given as much opportunity and responsibility as they can handle.


  • Minimum 5 years architectural experience with 3 years of experience in multi-family projects required
  • Minimum of 3 years professional Revit experience required
  • Bluebeam Studio experience preferred
  • BIM 360 preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suites required, and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Working knowledge of building construction Types l, lll and V
  • Good understanding of zoning codes and ability to research various jurisdictions
  • Good understanding of IBC, CBC, Green, and disabled access requirements
  • Ability to review documents for code compliance at all phases
  • Good understanding of consultant drawings, systems, and coordination
  • Coordinate with government agencies, utility companies, and plan check process
  • Excellent problem solver with good listening skills and strong follow- through 
  • Excellent organizational skills & team player


  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Architecture
  • California licensed Architect or on track to become licensed preferred
